The Rouss Center for the Arts presents “The Savannah Sipping Society”
October 11, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 7:00 pm, repeating until October 12, 2019
“The Rouss Center for the Arts will present “The Savannah Sipping Society” by Jesse Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jackie Wooten and produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Services, Inc., October 11-13 and 18-20, 2019. One of the playwrights, Jamie Wooten, was a writer and producer for “Golden Girls”.
In this delightful, laugh-per-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate — and an impromptu happy hour —and decide it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years. Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment —and most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new old friends. And, if you are a male, you can expect good laughs and poignant moments. Men laugh harder and louder than the women in the audience.
